Dan DeLap is a Vice President in the Chicago Office advising middle market companies on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital formation and other investment banking transactions. Mr. DeLap’s expertise includes involvement in every aspect of an M&A transaction from developing deal strategy to navigating his clients through all phases of the process to reach their unique objectives. He has worked with businesses in a wide variety of industries with particular emphasis in the food, business/environmental services, consumer, industrials and healthcare sectors. He has participated in 19 successfully closed transactions representing over $600 million in aggregate value.
Prior to joining Prairie Capital Advisors, Inc. in 2017, Mr. DeLap held Vice President and Associate roles at P&M Corporate Finance (PMCF) and D.A. Davidson & Co. where his primary duty was managing the entire sell-side and buy-side M&A deal process, including buyer preparation, business search and screening, due diligence and negotiation. He began his investment banking career at McGladrey Capital Markets performing financial analysis, valuation services and transaction execution support in a wide range of industries. Prior to working at McGladrey, Mr. DeLap was an Aerospace Engineer for the Department of Defense where he provided in-service engineering solutions for a variety of U.S. Navy aircraft platforms.
Mr. DeLap holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance from San Diego State University. Mr. DeLap currently holds FINRA Series 7, 79 and 63 securities licenses.
