David Burdette

VICE PRESIDENT

Mr. Burdette operates out of our Prairie Capital Advisors Atlanta, Georgia office. As Vice President, he provides valuation and strategic advisory services to business owners. Mr. Burdette specializes in Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), gift and estate planning, strategic planning, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Mr. Burdette is on The ESOP Association’s Interdisciplinary Advisory Committee on Fiduciary Issues and is highly active in his local chapter as The ESOP Association’s New South ESOP Chapter Vice-President and a member of the New South ESOP Chapter Executive Committee, and currently sits on the editorial board of The New South Chapter’s quarterly publication Eye on ESOPS.

Mr. Burdette’s expertise includes specializing in ESOP analysis, including ESOP formation and adequate consideration analyses, feasibility studies, transaction financing and restructuring, fairness and solvency opinions, post-transaction cash flow analyses, and annual valuations. He has provided valuation services to closely held corporation business enterprises; closely held corporation fractional ownership interest; public corporation subsidiaries/divisions; complex capital structures (various classes of common/preferred stock, options, warrants, grants, rights); general and limited partnership interests; joint ventures; proprietorships; professional service corporations; professional practices; LLPs and LLCs.

Mr. Burdette’s valuation and economic analysis services covers a wide range of industries, including but not limited to: architectural and engineering; automotive; distribution; commercial printing and publishing; computer services and IT producers; defense; equipment leasing; food and beverage; gaming; healthcare; insurance; brokerage; manufacturing; management consulting; oil and gas exploration and production; marine; real estate development; residential and commercial construction; retailing; telecommunications and utilities; transportation; and textiles.

Prior to joining Prairie Capital Advisors, Mr. Burdette was a Manager at Willamette Management Associates. There he performed financial advisory services and economic analyses for various transactional purposes, including ESOP valuations, valuation of target company synergistic/strategic benefits, negotiation of deal price and terms, fairness analysis of proposed transactions, and valuation of debt and equity instruments. Before joining Willamette Management Associates, he was a member of the Private Advisory Group for Wachovia Bank and Wachovia Securities. At Wachovia, he was responsible for the underwriting and management of complex loans for Wachovia's private clients.

Mr. Burdette holds a Bachelor of Arts, economics and business, with a concentration in financial management from Virginia Military Institute.

Mr. Burdette currently holds FINRA Series 79 and 63 securities licenses.
