Our Team

Matthew Walters, CPA

ANALYST

As an Analyst at Prairie Capital Advisors, Matthew Walters performs financial analysis and modeling services, as well as analyzes the business dynamics and trends of publicly traded companies. In addition, he performs merger and acquisition (M&A) research and prepares narrative reports in support of a wide variety of valuation projects, including Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP), leveraged buyouts (LBO), management buyouts (MBO) and other capital structuring projects for clients nationwide.


Prior to joining Prairie, Mr. Walters worked as a Financial Analyst at Integrated DNA Technologies. Mr. Walters prepared and provided profitability analyses for both business units and product groups monthly. This task also included product mix trending as well as reporting actuals to budgeted figures. In addition, Mr. Walters performed net present value, make vs. buy, and acquisition analyses. Lastly, Mr. Walters evaluated key cost of goods sold expenses and determined if the company was accrued properly. Before working at Integrated DNA Technologies, Mr. Walters worked as a Tax Associate for RSM, LLP. Mr. Walters prepared both business and individual tax returns.
Mr. Walters holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Finance and Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
