Scott Harris joined Prairie Capital Advisors in 2026. Scott is responsible for Prairie’s business development and growth initiatives in the Michigan market. His work focuses on advising business owners and leadership teams on ownership transition strategies including employee stock ownership plans (“ESOPs”) and mergers and acquisitions (“M&A”). Services include ESOP feasibility studies and transaction structuring, transaction financing and restructuring, fairness and solvency opinions and annual valuations. Scott has deep expertise helping middle market businesses with their capital needs to finance growth and evolve. He has assisted multiple companies with national M&A strategies, complex debt structuring and risk analysis.
Prior to joining Prairie, Scott spent over 25 years in commercial banking including JP Morgan, Comerica Bank, KeyBank and Independent Bank. He also worked at a boutique consulting firm, focused on retirement plans, non-qualified plans, compensation consulting and complex life insurance strategies. Throughout his career, Scott has served as a trusted advisor to middle market business owners structuring capital needs, navigating risk and building lasting relationships. He has extensive expertise in a broad array of industries including manufacturing, automotive, steel, heat treating, plastics, professional services, construction and real estate development.
