David Diehl joined Prairie Capital Advisors in 1999 and is a shareholder in the firm. He serves as Chief Executive Officer and is a member of Prairie’s Board of Directors. With more than 26 years of experience at Prairie, Dave provides strategic leadership that has guided the firm through sustained growth and the expansion of its product offerings. Throughout this growth, he has remained focused on preserving the strong culture and high-touch client service that define Prairie Capital Advisors.
Dave advises closely held businesses on ownership transition strategies, including mergers and acquisitions (“M&A”), management buyouts (“MBOs”), employee stock ownership plans (“ESOPs”), estate planning and other corporate finance transactions. He serves as a trusted advisor to a diverse, nationwide client base, providing strategic guidance throughout the full lifecycle of ownership transitions. Drawing on extensive transaction and management experience, Dave focuses on helping clients achieve successful, long-term outcomes.
Dave is actively involved in the industry and is a frequent speaker at forums across the country on topics such as ownership transitions, valuation, capital management and business sales. He is a CFA Charterholder, serves on the board of directors of a manufacturing company and is a past chair and Emeritus Member of the ESOP Association’s Advisory Committee on Valuation.
