Tim Jamison joined Prairie Capital Advisors in 2016 and is a shareholder in the firm. He is responsible for business development and growth initiatives and focuses on advising business owners about ownership transition alternatives including employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) and mergers and acquisitions (M&A), among others. Services include adequate consideration analyses, feasibility studies, transaction financing and restructuring, fairness and solvency opinions, post-transaction cash flow analyses and annual valuations.
Tim has performed valuation and M&A work on a variety of companies in various industries. He also frequently presents webinars and speaks at conferences, including those hosted by Prairie as well as The ESOP Association, the National Center for Employee Ownership and the Ohio Employee Ownership Center on topics including ESOPs, sustainability and other ownership transition matters. Tim also serves on the Advisory Commtee of the Ohio/Kentucky ESOP Chapter.
Prior to joining Prairie, Tim was an executive in the senior housing industry. During that time, he worked on several M&A transactions, performed multiple valuations and financial analyses of companies and completed several successful finance/debt transactions – both on a project level and the corporate level. Additionally, Tim spearheaded the ground-up development of several senior housing facilities during his career.
Prior to his experience in the senior housing industry, Tim spent several years in the utility industry, performing M&A, valuation and accounting work. Tim is also a certified public accountant (CPA) and started his career with a national public accounting firm before branching off into management accounting, corporate finance and M&A.
Tim holds the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation in the state of Kentucky as well as a Masters of Business Administration from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Accounting from Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY.
