Prairie Represents Neighborhood Fresh in its Sale to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan

OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL – December 13, 2022 – Prairie Capital Advisors, Inc. (“Prairie”), a leading middle-market investment bank, acted as financial advisor to LMA Acquisition DBA Neighborhood Fresh (“Neighborhood Fresh”) in the sale of the company to an employee stock ownership plan.

Neighborhood Fresh is a local fresh grocery store based out of Northeastern Indiana, with four locations. With locations in Gas City, North Manchester, Syracuse and North Webster, Neighborhood Fresh offers in-store services that include bakery, deli, lottery, custom cake decorating, a large selection of beer and wine and a large selection of natural and organic items. As a local grocery, the Company and their employees focus on enhancing the local communities by offering their customers a wide variety of fresh, quality products and providing exciting career potential with similar values.

Prairie worked closely with the management team and sellers, providing advisory expertise and managing the preparatory, due diligence and negotiation phases of the transaction, as well as structuring the financing for the transaction. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. “After considering various ownership transition structures for the Neighborhood Fresh team, it was evident that an ESOP met nearly all of my near- and long-term ownership transition objectives,” says Todd Taylor, Owner of Neighborhood Fresh.
