OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL – September 5, 2024 – Prairie Capital Advisors, Inc., a leading corporate advisory and investment banking firm, is pleased to announce John Lavin as the newest Managing Director in the firm’s investment banking group.
Mr. Lavin joins Prairie with more than 15 years of experience in investment banking. He has managed mergers and acquisitions (“M&A”) transactions and provided capital advisory services, acting as a liaison between investors and company management throughout the process. Additionally, Mr. Lavin has a background in business development, where he has played a key role in generating advisory engagements and identifying growth opportunities for previous firms.
Before joining Prairie, Mr. Lavin worked in various roles at William Gabriel Capital, Gemspring Capital LLC, Lincoln International, and Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management.
Mr. Lavin earned a Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois’ Gies School of Business, a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Creighton University.
