OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL – March 30, 2026 – Prairie Capital Advisors, Inc., a leading corporate advisory and investment banking firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Timothy Binney as Managing Director in its Investment Banking group.
Mr. Binney has more than 15 years of experience advising lower middle-market companies on mergers and acquisitions. He specializes in originating and executing M&A transactions, with primary sector coverage in Business Services. Within this sector, he has developed a particular focus on Marketing Services, including experiential marketing and events, market research and insights, digital advertising and marketing, and incentives. He also advises clients in the Home Services sector, with an emphasis on roofing and pest control.
Prior to joining Prairie, Mr. Binney served as a Director at Capstone Partners, where he executed numerous sell-side advisory mandates for companies ranging from $20 million to $300 million in enterprise value and played a key role in developing sub-sector coverage strategies within business services. Previously, he was a Director at EBB Group, where he sourced, led, and closed multiple lower middle-market M&A transactions and contributed to firm-wide operational improvements. Earlier in his career, he held positions at Houlihan Lokey and Lazard Middle Market, advising on sell-side M&A transactions in the consumer sector and supporting all phases of transaction execution.
Mr. Binney earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Economics from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia College Chicago. He also holds FINRA Series 63 and 79 securities licenses.
