Metal forming companies fabricate a variety of metal products that are used by industrial companies in products such as automobiles, planes, computers, appliances and machinery. A variety of techniques—including stamping, laser cutting, punching, bending, welding, roll forming and coil processing—are utilized to transform ferrous and nonferrous metals—such as steel, copper, brass, aluminum, titanium and various alloys—into these products. According to industry intelligence firm First Research, the metal forming industry consists of approximately 55,000 companies with combined annual revenue of $340.0 billion.
