Tom DeSimone joined Prairie Capital Advisors in 2011 and is a shareholder in the firm. He leads Prairie’s ESOP Sell-Side Investment Banking Practice. Tom’s work focuses on advising company boards of directors and shareholders on ownership transition planning and the execution of ESOP transactions.
Tom is actively involved in the employee ownership community and frequently speaks at conferences and industry events including programs hosted by the National Center for Employee Ownership (“NCEO”), The ESOP Association (“TEA”), the Illinois CPA Society and the Great Game of Business. Thought leadership topics include ownership transition, ESOP transactions and culture and communication within ESOP companies. In addition, Tom serves as a board member of PREMIER Design & Build Group, LLC and is a Member of The ESOP Association’s Finance Committee.
In 2021, Tom was recognized as a Top 40 Under Forty Honoree by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (“NACVA”). In 2021, he also received the Americas Rising Star Dealmaker award from M&A Atlas.
