Our Team

Tom DeSimone, CPA

DIRECTOR

Tom DeSimone advises middle market companies on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) as well as corporate valuations and financial opinions and other investment banking advisory services. Mr. DeSimone is highly involved in the structuring and execution of ESOP transactions, representing either Boards of Directors, shareholders or ESOP Trustees. He is also deeply involved in advising clients on ownership transition alternatives and provides project management services for corporate and ESOP valuations and related transaction analyses in support of leveraged recapitalizations, management buyouts (MBO), mergers and acquisitions, fairness opinions and other related corporate finance purposes.

Mr. DeSimone is a frequent speaker in various forums on topics covering ownership transition planning, employee communication and ESOP sustainability.

Prior to joining Prairie Capital Advisors, Mr. DeSimone was an accountant at Neohapsis, Inc., a Governance, Risk, and Compliance consulting firm, where he worked directly with executive management on operational accounting and financial analysis initiatives.

Mr. DeSimone holds a Master of Accounting Degree and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He also currently holds FINRA Series 79 and 63 securities licenses.
